When you pair it with a fancy inReach® device, you can send messages globally through satellites and even call for help in emergency situations, no matter where you are. The app lets you have group chats and chat one-on-one with other users. It's smart too, as it automatically switches between Wi-Fi, cell data, and satellite networks to make sure you always have the best connection possible.

Just so you know, there are some places that have rules against using satellite communication devices. So, if you're planning on using one, make sure you know and follow all the laws in the areas where you want to use it.

No worries! The cool thing is that even if your inReach device is off, the app on your phone will still work perfectly as long as you have an internet connection. Oh, and by the way, Wi-Fi is a fancy term trademarked by the Wi-Fi Alliance.
