The ActiveCaptain app is a totally free and super handy app that links up your cool mobile device with Garmin chartplotters, charts, maps, and the awesome boating community. This app lets you transfer and check out charts, maps, updates, routes, waypoints, and feedback from other ActiveCaptain peeps - all without any annoying wires! Plus, with the OnDeck hub, you can keep an eye on your boat no matter where you are. Just a heads up though - this app isn't really meant to be used on its own for navigation. It's more for folks who already own a Garmin chartplotter.

The app has some cool features that you'll love. One of them is called ONECHART, which gives you access to awesome Garmin Navionics+ and premium Garmin Navionics Vision+ maps. It also has this cool Auto Guidance+ thing that helps you navigate like a pro. And get this, you even get a whole year of daily updates included!

The app also gives you super simple software updates, the OnDeck hub to keep an eye on and manage a bunch of switches, the Garmin Quickdraw Community to grab the newest 1' HD contour maps, and smart notifications to check out calls, texts, and other stuff on your chartplotter screen while your phone stays safe and dry.
