The new version of the Food Scanner app has some cool new stuff for you to check out. It's still a work in progress, but it's definitely worth giving it a go. With this app, you can find out how much sugar is in your beloved cola or how salty your sauce is. Its goal is to assist people and families in making healthier choices when it comes to food and drinks. Just scan the barcode and bam! You'll get all the nutritional details you need, and trust me, some of them might shock you.

The app uses Augmented Reality (AR) to make food and drinks look awesome. But here's the deal: whether you can use AR or not depends on your device and if it supports ARCore. If your device doesn't support AR, no worries! The app will show you a cool 3D scene instead. We're always working on making the app better and adding more products. We get our nutrition info from Brand Bank and Food Switch. And here's something neat: the app shows you how much sugar, saturated fat, and salt are in a product by using visual representations of sugar cubes, fat lumps, and salt sachets based on the weight or portion size. Just so you know, one sugar cube weighs 4 grams, one fat lump weighs 1 gram, and one salt sachet weighs 0.5 grams.

In a nutshell, the Food Scanner app is pretty awesome. It's got all these cool new features that you can check out while they keep working on it. With this app, you can find out all the nitty-gritty nutritional details of different products just by scanning their barcodes. The best part? It's designed to help you and your fam make healthier choices when it comes to what you eat and drink. And get this – it even uses Augmented Reality to show you what's inside your food and drinks! (Well, as long as your device supports that feature.) They're always adding more products to the app and the info comes from trusted sources like Brand Bank and Food Switch. Plus, they give you visual representations of things like sugar cubes, saturated fat lumps, and salt sachets based on what they know about each product. Pretty neat, huh?
