WiFi Warden is a cool app that lets you get your hands on loads of Wi-Fi passwords and hotspots without spending a dime. It's like a treasure trove of Wi-Fi goodness shared by the awesome community. So, whether you're chilling at home or exploring some far-off land, this app helps you find the perfect Wi-Fi hotspot or password in a jiffy.

You don't need much mobile data to use WiFi Warden and find nearby free Wi-Fi spots. Just connect to these spots and enjoy the internet for free! If you can't find any shared hotspots around, don't worry. Give it some time and more Wi-Fi spots will pop up in the community. This app has a bunch of cool features too. You can connect to hotspots shared by others, check out WiFi networks, figure out router PINs, make strong passwords, and even see saved WiFi passwords (if you've got root access). Plus, you can test your internet speed and find open ports on devices connected to your network.

Although you don't need to be a tech wizard for most WiFi Warden features, there are a couple of exceptions. If you want to connect using WPS on Android 9 or newer versions, you'll need to have root access. But no worries if you're rocking Android 5 to 8 – no root access needed there! Also, if you want to grab the serial number of an access point or check WPS lock on any Android version, root access is your go-to.

Just so you know, WiFi Warden isn't a hacking tool and it's totally against the rules to use it for illegal stuff. If you're in a new area and want to access nearby shared hotspots, you'll need an internet connection. Oh, and not all routers can be connected using WPS. In those cases, you can use the passphrase to connect to the WiFi instead. By the way, some Samsung devices encrypt passwords, so if you want to decrypt them, you might need to dig up some extra info online. The app has some tools meant for testing and learning purposes, but just remember that if you decide to use them, it's at your own risk.
