TicketQR is a cool app that lets you hop on trains and buses without needing any cash. It's part of the Ueda City Public Transportation Cashless Promotion Project, which kicked off on October 1, 2020. They're testing out this cashless experiment in Ueda City, and it's going pretty well so far. You can use TicketQR on major routes operated by Ueda Bus Company, Ueda Electric Railway Company (Bessho Line), Chikuma Bus Company, and Toshin Kanko Bus Company. But don't worry, it's not gonna last forever. The experiment is set to end on March 31, 2022. But don't be sad because starting from April 2022, they're planning to introduce this awesome system to the 'Town Sneaker' bus in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture. So local peeps and tourists can look forward to even more convenience!

You can use QR codes for payments with PayPay, d payment, credit cards, and more. It's not just for immediate payment but also works for pre-payment methods like commuter passes, prepaid tickets, and discounts for students and people with disabilities. If you don't have the app, you can still use QR codes printed on paper. The system was used for the Ueda City Consumption Promotion Support Project [Phase 3], called 'Ganbaro Ueda! Up to 20% Discount Campaign' (ended on March 6, 2022). Around 60,000 people used it and got discount tickets worth a total of 10,000 yen. They could enjoy up to 20% off at over 840 stores in Ueda City.

To sign up for the app, you just gotta give your phone number to verify who you are and provide your birthdate to set the fare. Once you're registered, boom! You can start using the app right away. To use it, just open it up and scan the QR code at the spot where you hop on or off the vehicle. When you're done riding, pay your fare through the app's payment screen. Easy peasy!

After you get off, just head to the payment screen on the app for electronic payments. You can use different methods like credit cards and various electronic payment apps. Don't forget to have the app ready on your phone beforehand. We support a bunch of brands like 'PayPay,' 'd payment,' 'au Pay,' 'Merpay,' 'LINE Pay,' 'WeChat Pay,' 'Google Pay,' and 'Apple Pay.' If you have a commuter pass, prepaid ticket, or any other ticket from the transportation company, you can use that too. The payment will be automatically processed, so no need to do anything else. Keep in mind that the available ticket types might differ depending on the transportation company. For more info, contact them directly.

The app lets you check out your usage history, like when and where you used it, how much it cost, and how you paid. It also tells you when your commuter pass expires, how many prepaid tickets you have left, and your prepaid balance. If you switch devices or get a new phone number, no worries! You can easily transfer all your info by getting a transfer key beforehand.

Features

You can totally hop on trains and buses hassle-free with the Ticket QR system on your phone. No need to carry cash or worry about being smart, these modes of transport got you covered!
