Spectroid is like this super cool thing that lets you see the different frequencies in a song in real-time. It's got pretty good resolution across all the frequencies.

? FAQ ?

Q: Why are the dB values negative?

A: Spectroid uses this thing called dBFS (Full Scale). Basically, it measures the power of sound using a microphone. 0 dB is the loudest it can measure, so any other values are negative because they're lower than the maximum.

Q: Can I like, zoom in on the spectrum plot?

A: Yes, do a two-finger pinch-to-zoom gesture.

Q: So, like, why do we see those weird gaps in the spectrum plot and waterfall thingy?

A: Spectroid uses a bunch of FFTs that overlap in frequency to give you better resolution for lower frequencies compared to just one FFT. The only downside is that it might mess with the response and have some small gaps in frequency. But the cool thing is, it can make a spectrum that matches how we humans hear audio. Although, let's be real, it's probably not as good as your own ears!

Q: Can I export the spectrum data?

A: Hey, just so you know, Spectroid won't magically turn your device into a super accurate instrument. If you're serious about getting precise spectrum data, it's better to use a real spectrum analyzer instead of relying on some app on your phone.
