The FreeStyle LibreLink app is like a cool tool for people with diabetes. It lets you check your glucose levels on your phone, so you don't have to carry around a separate device. It works with both the 10-day and 14-day sensors, which are painless to scan. You can see what your glucose level is right now, as well as how it's been trending over time. Plus, you can add notes about things like what you've eaten or how much insulin you've used. The app also gives you reports on your glucose levels, including one called the Ambulatory Glucose Profile. And if you need to, you can connect with healthcare professionals through LibreView. Just keep in mind that the app doesn't replace checking your blood sugar when making important decisions about treatment in certain situations. So fingersticks are still necessary sometimes.
To use the FreeStyle Libre Reader and app with the same sensor, you gotta kick things off by starting the sensor with the reader. Once that's done, whip out your phone and give it a scan. The app is super handy for tracking glucose levels in folks with diabetes, but make sure to check out the product labeling and interactive tutorial before diving in.
To use the FreeStyle LibreLink app, you gotta sign up with the LibreView system, which is run by Abbott and Newyu, Inc. The sensor housing has a cool circular shape and the brand marks like FreeStyle Libre are all owned by Abbott. If you want more legal info or terms of use, just head over to the FreeStyle Libre website.
