CalWIN is like this awesome group of 18 California Counties that totally hooks up the peeps who live there with Health & Human Services. They offer all kinds of rad stuff like cash aid, food and nutrition assistance, and medical services. And get this, they even have a mobile app where you can check out your benefits, get info on assistance programs, find a County Human Services office near you, or see if there's been a disaster in your hood. Just a heads up though, you might have to pay some regular text fees for all that goodness.

CalWIN doesn't give away your personal info to anyone else. But, some of the info collected by the app and shared by you might be made public if there's a public records request, as per California law. Don't worry though, the California Welfare and Institutions Code is all about keeping your personal info private when it comes to Medi-Cal and CalFresh programs. So, no need to stress about it being disclosed to the public!

The app has links to check out info from other agencies that we don't control. If you want to know how they collect and share data, you gotta hit them up directly. Don't worry though, CalWIN takes all the necessary steps to keep your personal info safe and sound. Oh, and just a heads up, the Notice might change every now and then, so make sure to swing by the page every so often to stay in the loop.
