Q: Why doesn't the dang widget do anything when I tap on it?

A: Hey, if you're using a Xiaomi device, MIUI is being a bit of a buzzkill and blocking some permissions that the widget needs to function properly. So, here's what you gotta do: Go to Settings -> Stuff -> Other Permissions, and make sure to enable 'Display popup windows' for the widget to work like a charm.

If you're using a non-Xiaomi device, the app you have for your home screen might not play well with widgets. Give another launcher app a shot instead!
