LocalCast is a super cool app for Android devices that lets you easily send videos, music, and pics from your phone or tablet to all kinds of gadgets like Chromecast, SmartTVs, Roku, Nexus Player, and more. It's got some awesome features too like zooming, rotating, and panning your content. You can even access stuff from your NAS and add subtitles with Opensubtitle.org. And get this - you can stream sound to your phone using wireless headphones! Although I gotta warn you, this feature is still in beta so it might not always work perfectly due to network delays. The best part is that the app is free (with ads), but if you wanna go ad-free and unlock all the fancy features like searching and video previews, you can upgrade to the Pro version for a small fee. So go ahead and give LocalCast a try!

LocalCast can handle all sorts of formats and codecs, but if you run into any problems, just give the FAQ a quick look. Oh, and here's a cool feature: you can easily rotate, zoom, and move pictures around on your Chromecast right from the 'Now playing' screen. By the way, the app collects anonymous usage stats using Firebase Analytics to make it even better in the future. But don't worry, if you're not into that, you can turn it off in the settings.

In a nutshell, LocalCast is an awesome app for Android peeps who want to cast stuff from their phones or tablets to their TV or other gadgets. It's super versatile and easy to use, giving you tons of options for casting. You can even connect it to different devices! The free version has ads, but if you want more features and no pesky ads, just upgrade to the Pro version.
