The 'TV (Samsung) Remote Control' app lets you control your Samsung TV using your phone, either through the Wi-Fi network or with infrared if your Android phone has an infrared port. You have two options: network IP control and infrared control. Network IP control works with C, D, E, F, K, and M models from 2016 onwards, but not with H and F models. Just make sure your TV is on and both your phone and TV are connected to the same home network. If your router has a privacy separator function, disable it. You can also manually enter the TV's IP address.
You can use infrared control on your phones and tablets if they have a built-in IR blaster. Some examples of devices that support this feature are Samsung Galaxy S, HTC ONE, LG G3/G4/G5, Xiaomi Mi/Redmi/Note, Huawei Mate/Honor, and more. This cool feature has been tested with Samsung TV F and M models, but it should also work with other Samsung Smart TVs made after 2005.
The app isn't meant to replace your regular TV remote, but it sure comes in handy when you're in a pinch. Like when you can't find your remote or its batteries are dead. It's good to go right out of the box, no need for any complicated pairing with your TV. And hey, if the app doesn't work with your phone or TV, just shoot an email to the author with the exact make and model of both, and they'll do their best to add support. Oh, and by the way, this app isn't associated with or endorsed by Samsung Group - Samsung is a trademark of Samsung Group.
The software is given by the author "as is," and they don't make any promises about how well it works or if it's suitable for a specific purpose. They want to make it clear that they won't be responsible for any problems you might have when using this software, whether it's small issues or big ones. Even if they warned you about the possibility of something going wrong, they still won't be liable for any damages caused.
Hey there! Check out this awesome app for Samsung TV that lets you control it remotely. It's super fast, user-friendly, and really easy to navigate.
