VoiceTra is a cool app that lets you translate speech for free! It supports a whopping 31 languages and uses fancy technology from the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT). You can instantly switch the translation direction, so even if you and your friend speak different languages, you can still chat using just one device. If your language doesn't support speech input, no worries! You can type in your text instead. VoiceTra is perfect for travel situations like getting around, shopping, staying at hotels, or exploring new sights. Just keep in mind that you'll need an internet connection and the translation results might take a bit depending on your network. Oh, and be careful about those communication fees and international data roaming charges – they can get pretty pricey! This app was originally made for research purposes, so any data collected will be used to make the speech translation technology even better. Cool, huh?

VoiceTra is super cool because it can translate between so many languages! It supports Japanese, English, Chinese (simplified and traditional), Korean, Thai, French, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Spanish, Myanmar, Arabic, Italian, Ukrainian, Urdu, Dutch, Khmer, Sinhala, Danish, German, Turkish, Nepali, Hungarian, Hindi, Filipino, Polish, Portuguese (both regular and Brazilian), Malay, Mongolian, Lao and Russian.

You guys should totally type in sentences for VoiceTra to understand what you mean and give you the translation. But don't use it as a dictionary, it's not a good idea. Your device might not show the characters correctly if you don't have the right font. And sometimes, when the server is down, some functions or even the whole app might not work.
