Hey guys, guess what? SoftBank Mail just dropped a new update for their app, version 10.1.1! If you're using this version, you'll need to manually switch over to the latest +Message or SoftBank Mail. Just a heads up though, if you uninstall the app, you'll lose all your data, so make sure to back it up before doing anything crazy. You can find step-by-step instructions on the SoftBank Mail website. And don't worry, they've got two options for switching: either migrate your data from the old +Message version to the new one, or jump ship and switch to SoftBank Mail altogether. Take your pick!
The SoftBank Mail app has some cool features like threaded and folder views, support for fancy emails with emojis, and it even sorts out emails from random people into a separate folder. You can send and receive emails up to 2MB in size. Y!mobile users can also use the app with their email address ending in '***@ymobile.ne.jp'. But hey, watch out if you have a Sharp, Fujitsu, Kyocera, or Sony phone because the app might not work on those. If you have one of these models, go ahead and use the Smart Custom app instead.
Hey there! So, if you've got a SoftBank or Y!mobile smartphone running Android OS 2.2 or higher, then the SoftBank Mail app is totally compatible with your device. The latest version for Android OS 2.x is 2.8, and for Android OS 4.x and above, it's 8.1.
If you're using + Message v10.1.1 (the updated version of SoftBank Mail), you gotta switch the app manually, okay?
